Aquatic Management Instructor
The Aquatic Management Instructor course prepares instructors to teach the Lifesaving Society's Aquatic Supervisor and/or Aquatic Manager certifications. Aquatic Management Instructors are certified to teach the management training courses they hold (i.e., those who hold Aquatic Supervisor may teach it; similarly, those who hold Aquatic Manager may teach it).
Prerequisites
- Swim Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor
- National Lifeguard
- Aquatic Supervisor or Aquatic Manager certifications (need not be current)

Instruction & Certification
Current Aquatic Management Instructor Trainers teach and certify candidates. The Lifesaving Society deems its certifications to be “current” for 24 months from the certification date.

Candidates should also have the Society’s Instructor Manual and Alert: Lifeguarding in Action for on-course reference. (Some affiliates provide materials; some require candidates to purchase materials. Double check before you purchase.)
Recertification
Instructors remain current by recertifying within 24 months of the last certification date. Recertification is through the Society's professional development point system.
