AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
The AED certification builds on CPR and First Aid skills, providing knowledge of how the heart works and what goes wrong when defibrillation is required. Participants learn when and how to operate an AED, including AED maintenance, data management, and reporting protocols required after an incident.

- Prerequisite: Lifesaving Society CPR-A or higher certification
- Instruction & Certification: Current Emergency First Aid Instructors or First Aid Instructors teach and certify candidates. Certifications are valid for 24 months.
