The Safeguard program (3.5–4 hr.) provides essential safety supervision training for guardians such as camp counsellors, CITs, teachers, and group leaders. It teaches supervisors how to keep participants safe even when lifeguards are on duty.

Safeguard covers:
• Hazard identification
• Recognizing distressed swimmers
• Scanning & supervision techniques
• Role of supervisors vs. lifeguards
• Safe use of basic rescue aids

Prerequisite: None
Recommended Age: 12+
Certification: Lifesaving Society certification card
